Kate Moss and Sasha Pivovarova. Longchamp Spring 2009 Collection.

Recently, I found out about this ad campaign by Longchamp featuring Kate Moss and Sasha Pivovarova which was shot in Los Angeles by the legendary-duo, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. I am mesmerized by the photoshoot this time because these 2 models truly resemble one another. The striking photo series features Kate and Sasha against a retro green wall dressed in pieces from Longchamp's 12-piece Spring collection. Honestly, this ad campaign is one of my favorite because it resembles classic fashion editorial.

Kate Moss by Heidi Slimane.
Sasha Pivovarova by Hedi Slimane for French Vogue.

Kate Moss is an English model and known for her uncommon height in modelling where else Sasha Pivovarova is a Russian model and artist. I personally think that most of us would have heard of Kate Moss because of her collection in Topshop.....but.....for further personal details on the duo....I would suggest that you girlies google them up. Hahaha....'the boyfriend' said my fashion posts are turning into one that is sooo full of information. Therefore, enjoy the pictures ladies........

I am loving these ads because of the retro, vintage feeling to it. Don't they both look....somehow alike??

Pamela Anderson. Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2009 Collection.

Dame Vivienne Westwood is a British fashion designer largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. Throughout her career, Vivienne Westwood has been influential in launching the careers of other designers into the British fashion industry. Well, to familiarize all of you with Dame Vivienne Westwood, her designs were actually featured in the show Sex and the City and the 2008 Sex and the City movie. It seems that Sarah Jessica Parker ( Carrie Bradshaw in the movie ) wore the Westwood wedding gown. In my opinion, Vivienne Westwood's designs are meant for those bold fashionistas who are daring enough to stand out in the crowd as Westwood's collections are what I would call....one-of-a-kind, unique and....crazy =)

It was reported earlier that Pamela Anderson would be the official face of Vivienne Westwood's Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Honestly, I was a tad bit afraid of the outcome but after the ads were released.....I was utterly shocked and literally blown away by these two already-shining-legends. The ad campaign screams CRAZY all over with the duo's crazy collaboration which was shot by photographer Juergen Teller featuring shots of Pamela Anderson and Vivienne Westwood all over. It must have been one hell of a fun photoshoot. Vivienne Westwood chose this buxom 42-year-old former Baywatch babe for her quirkiness in one of her campaigns.

Let me tell you a little bit about Pamela Denise Anderson before I show you the ads...Well, got to keep the suspense up first......Hmmm...but I am 100% sure that the boys already know about her profile but....for the ladies....don't judge her just yet..... Read on......

As we all know, Pamela Anderson is a Canadian-born actress ( well-known for her role in Baywatch ), sex symbol ( Playmate of the Month in Playboy magazine, February 1990 ), glamor model, producer, author, philantropist, activist, and former show girl. In addition to her fame from modelling and acting, she has received a great deal of press attention for her well-publicized personal life. Believe it or not...she has appeared on more magazine covers than any other star of her generation and has been named in the Guinness book of World Records as "most downloaded".

Balancing with great wit, good humor, intelligence and style her role as the favorite Playboy sex symbol, a devoted and attentive mother, and an activist for charitable causes, she enjoys a reputation for being beautiful, funny and smart. She has stuck to her own philosophy and principles, made her own decisions and successfully navigated her way through the devious world of show business and survived her own dramatic love life, one full of chances taken, heartbreak and joy. I would say that she is a determined woman with well....maybe just a few regrets.

Well, there is nothing left to write of the wonders of the goddess of blonde hair and silicone and the great dame of stroppy British designer. The ads shot by Juergen Teller for Vivienne Westwood's Spring/Summer 2009 collection speak more than a million words.

The bosomy shot of Pam Anderson in a Union Jack ensemble.

Pam, Dame Vivienne, and Westwood partner - Andreas Konthraler getting awesome in a laundromat.
The trio soaking up the sun by a beach cruiser.

Now now....that's a WRAP!!

Here's a video for Vivienne Westwood's Spring/Summer 2009 Womenswear to give you a rough idea of her designs. Let me warn you first....Not everyone can accept the collection because it is very very funky, futuristic, and bold.....like I said.....she is one crazy British designer =)

Scarlett Johansson. Dolce&Gabbana Cosmetics Spring/Summer 2009.

As we all know, Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian fashion house with its designs worn by the likes of Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Fergie and Christina Aguilera. Honestly, I love their dresses as they have exquisite and elegant designs that would make one feels posh and confident. Yeapz...because of that I got myself one of their floral design dresses that I feel can only be worn for some posh brunch or tea party. Did you know that there are a difference between Dolce & Gabbana and D&G?? The first specializes on more formal, luxurious items influenced by designers and the other one is more of a casual line that attempts more on trend-setting.

This time around, Dolce & Gabbana will be launching their new cosmetics collection this Spring which had input from legendary makeup artist, Pat McGrath. If I'm not mistaken, their new makeup line will be available starting from next month. The makeup will be packaged in glossy gold cases slipped into velvet pouches. The collection takes inspiration from the Meditteranean and will feature lipsticks with rose scents.

According to Stefano Gabbana,
"We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood."

Scarlett Johansson, an actress and singer of American and Danish citizenship, has been chosen as the new face of Dolce & Gabbana's new cosmetics collection for Spring 2009 ad campaign. The pouty-lipped and recently married Scarlett Johansson, features on the new ad of the Italian fashion house, lying on white-off silken sheet with a Marilyn Monroe style pose. This long-awaited Dolce & Gabbana Cosmetics ad campaign was shot by photographer Solve Sundsbo. Well, I guess she is in line with Madonna, Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham who are celebrities-cum-supermodels this season.

So far, I could only find these 2 ads....reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.......

Scarlett Johansson looking very Marilyn-Monroe-esqe, evoking a very old school, glamorous style.
Even when the ad is about promoting Dolce & Gabbana's foundation, Scarlett's pouty lips will always stand out.

p/s: More fashion posts as more brands are introducing their Spring/Summer 2009 ads. Hope I don't bore you readers =S

David Beckham. Emporio Armani.

Remember that time when I posted up on Victoria Beckham ( click here )??? She was the new face for Armani's women underwear collection spring/summer 2009 collection.....and a picture of the Beckham pairs posing in one of the underwear collection??? Anyways, more new shots of David Beckham is up on their site already. He looks gorgeous as always with that literally-drop-dead gorgeous body. You got to check out the tattoos he have on his body....Not too many and they are just right.

p/s: Baby, I think I'm in love with tattoos already lar...all thanks to David Beckham LOL!!!

Daisy Lowe. DKNY Jeans.

Daisy Rebecca Lowe, who is 20 years old this year, is an English fashion model who has modelled for editorial photoshoots and commercial advertising campaigns, and has also worked as a runway model. Oooh...she is the daughter of Pearl Lowe, the singer/songwriter turned textile and fashion designer, and Gavin Rossdale, the front man of the band Bush and husband of Gwen Stefani. Hmmm...which means she is also the step-daughter of Gwen Stefani.

Miss Lowe began her modelling at the age of 2. She not only has passion in music and art but also in fashion. That would definitely explain her one-of-a-kind styles. I would say that Miss Lowe is in very good relationship with Miss Luck as she is replacing Cole Mohr as the face of Marc by Marc Jacobs, appearing in campaigns for Agent Provocateur and Pringle of Scotland......and now, she is debuted as the new face for DKNY Jeans. She is one lucky lady alright.....

Daisy Lowe has used her It-Brit appeal to score these campaigns and increase her ad currency. Who knows?? Maybe if she is lucky, she might be able to catch Christopher Bailey's eye for the next season being the Burberry mainline since it is after all a coveted British model-only campaign.

The DKNY Jeans ad campaign is shot by legendary fashion photographer The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman. This whole campaign intends to reflect Shuman's street style photography inspired by the energy of New York city. The shots are all about "encapsulating the buzz that's found on the streets of New York". By the way, Shuman is known better for his everyday portraits where he literally snaps stylish passers-by on the streets of the world's most fashionable cities with beautiful results.

Patti Cohen, executive vice president of marketing and communications for Donna Karan International said,
“Donna always says that jeans are not about a season, but rather part of your skin, something you can’t live without. So, we wanted to make a personal statement about jeans and fashion and Scott seemed so perfect to shoot this. He brings such a freshness to street style.”

Miss Lowe is joining in the footsteps of models, artists and musicians who had participated in the campaign including Chanel Iman, Kelly Osbourne, Sean Lennon, and fiancĆ© Luc Worrell. Her looks is set to conquer the model industry and will definitely be on the way to super stardom since this is her third big campaign this spring following her Pringle and Marc Jacobs shoots. With all these huge hits with the US fashion houses, she'll definitely be competing with Agyness Deyn for the hottest Brit It-model title.

Daisy Lowe looking sizzling hot in Agent Provocateur's sexy lingerie.
Daisy Lowe posing in the middle of New York street with a cute stonewash denim playsuit with classic aviator shades and white laced-up boots looking casual like she is in the mid of food-shopping.
Model Chanel Iman in an edgy street style of cropped trousers and denim sleeveless vest.

Don't you just love her style?? I know I am loving it =)

Chinese New Year!!

Did you know????
............
........
....
..

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the Lunar New Year.
Source: Wikipedia.com

Chinese New Year is all about symbols of prosperity, good fortune, and good health. The year 2009 is the Year of the Ox, which is also known by its formal name of "Ji Chou." Usually, Chinatowns in the major capitals of the world will be alive with dragon dances and the explosion of firecrackers to ward off the evil spirits of the old Year of the Rat while hailing the good fortunes of the new Year of the Ox. The theme of the dressing would obviously be RED and it seems that for this year.....the lucky number would be 9 because of the lucky flying star No. 9.

Well, I guess that is the main Chinese New Year fun fact! I guess I better go to bed now after a whole day of cleaning...

Wish all of you a Happy Chinese New Year!! May the Year of Ox bring you and your family best of health, wealth and endless prosperity for this year and many years to come!!

p/s: Sorry for the lack of creativity....the wish is actually from forwarded messages I got from all my friends. Have a fun Chinese New Year this year and may all of you receive loads of ang-pows =)

Madonna. Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2009 Ad Campaign.

When I heard on the radio this afternooon that Madonna is going to be Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2009 spokesperson, I was so thrilled!! I needed to see this with my own eyes to believe it. I looove this brand especially their dresses....and I got my first from Paris. When I got back to London, I put my name as the don't-know-few-hundreth-person for a dress I saw from their latest catalogue....and yeah....it did not reach my turn since they only got 2 dresses in and only 1 that is my size. Ish....disappointing........Anyways, back to my title......

As we all know, Louis Vuitton is one of the oldest names in the fashion industry. In the beginning, it was only catered more to the well-traveled set but since designers like Marc Jacobs, Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami joined and collaborated, LV now means all-out luxury with a major dose of fashion-forward chic. This time for the Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign, it was Marc Jacobs's idea to have Madonna, the Material Girl, as the spokesperson. It seems that Madonna has already shot a series of LV print promo with renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

According to Marc, the French's fashion house creative director,
“I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric. To carry off all these references and all this sophistication, we needed the ultimate performer and for me, that is Madonna.”

Madonna being 50 year-old is definitely a hot momma. The singer has been pictured sporting unsightly bulging veins as a result of her rigorous exercise regime. She is definitely not losing her sex appeal with age in those stunning ads for Louis Vuitton (much envy). Can you believe it?? She shows no sign of ageing and still has that flawless skin with toned-up figure. By the way, this is not the first time the mother of three has posed for an LV shoot.

This time round, Material Girl Madonna poses provocatively for the new ad campaign. Madonna transforms into Marc Jacobs' vision of the quintessential Parisienne, striking provocative poses in the season's sexy short skirts, ethnic-inspired sandals and animal-print bangles. The first visuals show Madonna with the collection's emblematic slouchy bags in Monogram canvas and Monogram-embossed leather. The Vogue singer is definitely recreating the look from the LV campaign. The shots have a Marlene Deitrich world-weary vamp type-of-vibe and it was all Marc Jacobs' brilliant idea for blurting out the cutting-edge concept. The ads were shot by fashion photographer Steve Meisel, who also shot Madonna's infamous "Sex" coffee table photo book.

Here are her gorgeous pictures and I'm in love with those bags.........

Madonna poses seductively on a chair wearing fishnet tights, a tailored jacket and stilettos.
Madonna's sultry pose in a sepia-toned setting reminiscent of a Paris cafĆ© in the Forties.
Madonna posing provocatively with her flexible body for the raunchy shots.
Madonna sporting a skimpy pair of monogrammed briefs, sprawled across the bench.
Madonna with a tailored cream and black waistcoat and white-spotted red trousers, slouching on a sofa.
Madonna giving a smouldering look wearing the gorgeous green feather Louis Vuitton dress.

Take a look at the scenes that go on behind the shootings and the making of the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign starring Material Girl Madonna.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes. Bangsar.

Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts (not the fashion posts of course).....I went to the city for the junkyard sales and.....to collect my prize. Anushya from Shoes, Shoes, Shoes, texted me more than a month ago regarding my grand prize from their boutique. Yeapz...due to my uni's tight schedule and final exams, could only schedule the visit during my holidays.

That Saturday was meant for me to look for some nice bargains at Showpink's junkyard and dresses from Bangsar boutiques but.....I ended up with nothing. Well, I kinda wanted this cute, floral dress from Mooie which was a re-stock but it was the last piece and it was torn. So much for the thin cotton material tsktsk.....Anyways, my day was not that bad as I was in full anticipation and excitement to go collect my winning prize from Shoes, Shoes, Shoes

Actually, the pair of heels is not the only prize I won. I also won a 4 days 3 nights stay in Phuket. Indigo Pearl Hotel is an award-winning-stylish-5-star distinctive design resort and I got the Pearl Bed Suite. Am very very very happy and excited about it. All thanks to Joyce the Fairy and the people from Tongue in Chic of course. Never in my lifetime would I have thought of winning it.

The other 2 winners had already collected their prizes which include dresses from Nurita Harith, gift pack from Storybook Couture and shoes from Shoes, Shoes, Shoes. My holidays are yet to come as 'the boyfriend' and I are planning it and hoping everything will fit into our schedules snugly. Anyways, I've already collected my pair of heels from Shoes, Shoes, Shoes and....once again, I was head-over-heels-salive-drooling-causing-flood in their boutique.

Owh well....what's a post without pictures right?? I'm just a typical girl =)

The MarnJenn pair camwhoring and prolonging the anticipation opposite Shoes, Shoes, Shoes.
the boyfriend: Come..pose there before you go in!!
the girlfriend: Dowan lar...I want my shoes!!I can't wait anymore!!
the sister: Get it over and done with!!Am hungry!!!
Hmmm....pink-fringed heels? Yes? No?
Brown wedge or pink-fringed heels??
Finally, a happy me with my gorgeous heels and a ready-to-go-fill-her-tummy sister.

Don't know which pair of heels I chose?? Aiyoh...of course the most exquisite-one-of-a-kind pair like those fashionistas lar. I'm sure you girlies watched Gossip Girls, Lipstick Jungle, Sex and the City, and whatever chick-flicks-involving-fashion series and movies right?? Yeah...so my taste is pretty similar to those. Think of......B and S in Gossip Girls or.....SJP in Sex and the City....Got the hint anot?? Aiyoh.......this pair lar......

The brightest, reddest and most eye-catching pair in the boutique heeee...
After getting what you want, don't forget to leave your trademark behind!

Camwhore the blogger style hahaah....

Ooooh.....tips for girlies out there.... Gorgeous heels are killer heels. Never try to walk the whole Bangsar wearing this pair of killer heels though...hmmmm....it suits my clothings and I look pretty fashionable and chic *ehem*.....My legs literally-almost broke into 4 parts....but....gorgeous kan?? Like I said...I'm just a typical girl =)

p/s: Baby!!!!! I done my part...where is yours??

pp/s: Sorry ah people....that's how we MarnJenn link to each other in the posts. Hope I don't bore you.

Til next time
XOXO
heeee.....Le Jenny

Topshop Spring 2009 LookBook. Sneak Peak.

Topshop is one of my favorite high street brand since I first stepped into their world's largest fashion store which is on Oxford Street, London. It is also the home of the brand's flagship store. Hmmmm....it is so huge that sometimes, I end up with nothing to buy because there are too many items available. Yeah yeah...try snooping around for clothes at a 90, 000 square feet area and running up and down four floors.

This time for the Spring 2009 look, it involves more retro-Americana look which includes washed-out denims and of course not to forget...the undeniably British touch and look. If you're more of a bold and has an inner-rocker-chick in you....I bet you will love these new collections because....I am already falling in love with them. Owh well.....less words, more pictures.

Pictures speak a thousand words ladies......Enjoy........

Retro-Americana-style pieces in red, white and blue.
Big and bright florals, graphic prints and love-shades.
Overcoats and scarves for a windy day.
Grunge 80's look.
A must-get Union Jack blazer.
Sweet and colorful florals add a feminine touch to any outfit.
Add a sequin-cropped caplet to style that boring-everyday-wear.
The knitted-cape could be the best accessory to hide your ugly top LOL!!
Rodarte-inspired oversize sweater adds to the grunge 80's look.
The perfect plaid shirt that could be tucked into high-waisted jeans/shorts.
Fringes and washed denims.
Snug motorcycle jackets and graphic prints makes one look bold and daring.

It seems that their new collection will be featured in topshop.com soon enough so ladies...keep your mouse clicking on their site for more clothes in-store. Not everyone can work those outfit out but fret not.....be bold, daring and creative to style up any old clothes you have especially your mother's clothings since all of these are in their era anyways haha...Am into big, floral prints. Loving those bright colors and just like my unfashionable-workaholic uncle would say....I am just like my grandma's-walking-garden LOL!!

P/S: Faster send me those pictures baby!! I cannot keep posting about fashion lar...Sudah running dry on ideas already.
